WALTHAM, MA–Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) announced the addition of Senior Principal David Gonzalez to the firm. David brings a depth of structural engineering experience to SGH, including new design, seismic evaluation, and rehabilitation of existing structures.

Most recently, David was a Principal with Degenkolb Engineers in its San Diego office. Prior to that role, he was a Group Director and Principal at Reid Middleton, and a Group Director for Degenkolb’s Pacific Northwest Group. He has extensive client relationships throughout the West Coast, nationally, and internationally, and specializes in working with the institutional, industrial, and federal markets.
David has an M.S. in Structural Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Studies in Mexico. He also completed his MBA at the University of Washington. David is licensed SE in California, Oregon and Washington and has a PE in California, Washington and Alaska.
